A Life in Isolation
In the heart of a remote mountain region, a ten-year-old boy lives with his family in a modest hut. Their community follows ancient traditions and speaks a language unknown to the outside world. The villagers know nothing about the progress of the twenty-first century.
Life is simple, but resources are scarce. Hunger and hardship cause tension among the people. The strong try to dominate the weak, and constant disputes break out. During one of these troubled times, the boy’s mother disappears, leaving the family in grief and uncertainty.
The Boy’s Strength and Spirit
Despite the hardships, the boy shows unusual intelligence and courage. He questions his father, argues with him, and never accepts things without proof. As he grows, so does his strength and bravery. Over time, the family’s life improves thanks to better harvests and an increase in livestock.
Yet, a new problem arises. Skilled hunters roam the mountains, and their experience far outweighs the boy’s growing abilities. The struggle with these hunters becomes a constant threat.
A Strange Encounter
One day, the boy approaches the hunters’ campfire. They sit around the flames, enjoying the warmth, when suddenly a strange sound reaches them. It is not the cry of an animal or the growl of a beast, but the voice of a being speaking a language foreign to them.
The hunters stare in shock. One whispers, wondering if the cold has clouded their senses. Another insists: “This is our chance. We will raise him to be like us, a conscious man, and we will teach him what we know.”
The boy does not understand their words. Fear pushes him to act, and he tries to scare them away. The hunters attempt to catch him, but panic spreads when he strikes one of them with a powerful blow, leaving the man bleeding. Terrified by the boy’s strength and cries, they retreat and try to calm him.
Questions and Doubts
The boy begins to question what his father had always told him — that the hunters are dangerous and cruel. To his surprise, they do not harm him or insult him. Instead, they use simple gestures, hoping to build communication.
Watching them closely, the boy feels torn. Part of him longs to be like them. They are not the monsters his father described, and they show no violence toward him.
A New Path
Ignoring his father’s warnings, the boy decides to leave the mountain in secret. Meanwhile, the hunters argue among themselves about what to do with him. Fear mixes with curiosity, but eventually they agree on one goal: the boy should become part of their project.
The boy is shocked and amazed. He now faces a world completely different from the one he has always known. Though uncertain, he feels determined to adapt and find his place in this new and mysterious world.
